The Last Daughter Women’s business

Connecting Through Culture: Ngaarr Dhuwi Girls’ Weekly Women’s Business

Last Thursday, our Ngaarr Dhuwi girls came together for their weekly women’s business, welcoming Aunty Lacey, Aunty Maree, and Aunty Belinda from our local community. The Aunties shared their deeply personal stories about being part of the Stolen Generations, reflecting on the profound impact it has had on their lives. Their strength and resilience left a lasting impression on everyone.

As part of the session, the Aunties brought in leaves for the girls to create their own Aboriginal designs, which will be framed and proudly displayed in our Aboriginal Education room. The girls deeply valued the opportunity to listen, learn, and connect, making it a truly special and meaningful gathering.
